Meet the Roaster: Mission Coffee Works

Roasting out of Clapton, London, Mission Coffee Works originally started as a street van, serving coffee to the good people of Peckham. In 2012, Mission made the move to become a fully-fledged roastery and now have seven coffees on their roster. Mission’s goal is simple – to source incredible green coffee and roast it with care. They work with fair and transparent pricing, sustainable relationships, and environmentally sound practices, so everyone gains from the coffee that you’re drinking.

The Genji Challa is a stand-out single origin from Ethiopia. This coffee is all things sweet, clean and citrusy – perfect as a filter coffee or as a sweet, light-bodied cold brew. Genji Challa is the sister washing station to the Nano Challa which has gained worldwide recognition for its outstanding quality. Washing stations act as centralised locations for coffee-cherry collection and processing – two integral steps which help to add value to the supply chain for smallholder coffee producers.
Brew Method
Best suited for traditional pour-over methods and plungers. Our recommendation is to Give Genji Challa a go without milk, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
